Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian artist and singer. There are more than 20 albums. The music of DiFranco is classified as alternative rock, folk rock but also has influences of jazz and hip-hop. Ani DiFranco is frequently regarded as a feminist icon, and Grammy-winning artist is considered the creator in DIY music. It was one of the very first musicians to start their own labels in the year 90. DiFranco's parents, Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each the other when they were students at the same school. Her mother was born in Montreal and her father has Italian heritage. Ani DiFranco composed and performed 32 Flavors. The track is part of her album Not a Pretty Girl, which was DiFranco's sixth studio release. This song appears in the soundtrack to the Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate from 1999.
