Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. She is considered by many to be one of the greatest gymnasts. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at the same Games and was also the first gymnast to earn three consecutive all-around world championships (2013-15). Biles was born in Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. They grew in the metropolitan areas of Houston. Simone began to take the sport of gymnastics seriously as a six-year-old during a school field trip to Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach over the next 11 years. Biles earned a silver in vaulting in the year 2010 as well as a bronze at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships. She then moved up to the level of elite competition in the year 2011. Less than two years later she was the most dominant athlete in the field. Biles was notable because of her unstoppable performance enthusiastic attitude as well as the amount of difficulty that she included every event - vault, uneven bars as well as balance beams and ground exercise.
