In 2010, her parents bought her a new guitar that she was able to use to discover her love for the music. When she was thirteen, she began singing songs she loved on YouTube to demonstrate to the public that she was talented and brave enough to make a profession of a musician. Sweater Weather is one of these covers which led to her being noticed to be signed by EP Entertainment. This record label let her write new songs of her own.
